EURO-MILK marked the World Day of school milk in Dragutina Domjanić ELEMENTARY
The World School Milk Day is marked today at the elementary school Dragutin Domjanić in Sveti Ivan Zelina and its regional schools. Lower-class students enjoyed a rich breakfast prepared by the milder EURO-MILK from Beloslavec.
Students were presented with one of the latest products of the euro-milk dairy - the Greek type of yogurt Galos. The creamy dairy product has tasted everything, and the fact that it is very healthy. In fact, small primary school children have already learned all about dairy products. They decorated the whole school with instructive posters, drawings, posters, and some went to great lengths to write rhymes, stories and essays. "Milkis healthy because it has a lot of calcium and vitamins. And strengthens our bones!" – we were discovered by second-class students, who find Galos too fine and like it for its creamy taste. The order for yogurt was lengthy but the supply was enough so that no one was left hungry.
The aim of marking today is to highlight the importance of consuming milk and dairy products in the daily diet of school children, which they have recognized in EURO-MILK. "For several years we have been supplying more than thirty primary schools with milk and dairy products. As this global trend is slowly spreading to Croatia, we have decided to join it. We have achieved cooperation with Dragutin Domjanić Elementary School in Sveti Ivan Zelina, which they have accepted perfectly. Principal Gordana Čosic arranged with the teachers how to do the task and they informed the students, who showed great interest and were happy to join. We were surprised when we arrived at the school and saw that the whole school was full of posters and thumbnails that they had made themselves. We think that children should be interested in milk and dairy in some way, to get used to a healthy diet from an early age, so we have distributed our Greek yogurts to them. They took it really well. They were fine and cool to eat with small teaspoons of creamy produce. I think this day has gone better than we imagined because the children were thrilled and we hope this will become a beautiful tradition for us." – said Doroteja Kuzmic, representative of EURO-MILK.
Marking this interesting day, it was passed under the watchful eye of headteacher Gordana Čosic who gladly accepted cooperation with EURO-MILK:"World School Milk Day is a good opportunity for students to think about the importance of milk. When Doroteja Kuzmic suggested that we mark this day together, I recognized it as a very good occasion. I asked the teachers to get involved with what they immediately agreed to. Today, the school has given us posters, drawings and other children's work on the theme of milk. I hope that the first idea I gave at the beginning, to remind children how important milk is in everyday life, is ultimately realized. I thank euro-milk dairy farmers for giving us the opportunity to bring this together and to engage in this action."
Full and happy, the students returned to the school benches, aware of the importance of consuming milk and all dairy products for their health. She is also aware of this by second-class student Tea Andričić, who today stood out specifically by writing a song about World School Milk Day.
